After a huge success of HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE, HTC has added another member into the family of Sensation- HTC Sensation XL. HTC Sensation XL was previously reported under the Runnymede codename. Somehow, we felt that this handset is similar to the recently launched HTC Titan. Same as HTC Titan it has identical thickness (0.39-inch), same Super LCD display which supports 800 x 480 resolution, and even the same 8 megapixel camera at the back.
HTC Sensation XL runs on Android Gingerbread OS and features a massive 4.6-inch Super LCD touchscreen display. The display is made up of Gorilla Glass Technology. HTC Sensation XL is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8255 1.5 GHz processor but is only single-core (Sensation XE was dual-core). By this, HTC Sensation XL gets a smaller battery (1600mAh) instead of 1730 mAh. Another reason behind this smaller battery can be thinness of XL which is 1.4mm than the XE. HTC Sensation XL has 16 GB of on-storage but it is non-expandable because there is no microSD card slot.
